Another feature allows the draw keel to be securely locked to the hull in a 30` increments. If so desired ,either the pointed or the flat section of the hull can become a bow. This ability allows a number of the same shape boats to interconnect to form a train like formation. .
The sole of the "Alternative" is made of 24 separate sectors . Each sector is broken into 3 water tight compartments accessible through (8" ~20cm) water tight deck plates . The outer most shallow tank of each sector is used for water to heat or to cool the interior. The remaining tanks are used for dry storages , additional water tanks or other uses.
